What a fabulous name, and Joey is a great nickname, too.
It can be scholarly and serious, or just plain sophisticated. The nickname you've chosen makes it work for a boy, even an athletic, rough'n'tumble boy, but he can always grow into his full name.
I'd use it precisely as is.

Well, It is a Hebrew name meaning meaning Yaweh supports. I like the Josiah part and Theodore means git of God and its old english. I think that the two names clash a bit but I like it. If his friends would call him Joey that would be okau but Josiah could be a name you get teased for. I like both of the names but consider how you would feel if that wasyour name

If you like it, that's all that matters. I like the name Joey for a kid, but make sure you like the name Joe or Josiah for when he's older, because i doubt that he will go by Joey for his whole life. Make sure that in the end it's the name that you love, and not everyone else.

I like it. Josiah is not difficult to pronounce. Josiah Theodore flows nicely together, plus it's meaningful to you. I wouldn't even shorten it - just leave is Josiah!

Yes. Can I suggest you name him Josiah Theo, and call him Joey Theo (Or leave as is). I feel strongly that joey should have a longer version, yet be shortened conversationally. Theo is just as respectable, very distinguished and more modern. It is the short form of Theodore which stands proudly as its own name!

It's a cute name, but ......(not trying to be mean) it seems kind of like old. Maybe try changing the Josiah to Joey or Joshua.
