Singing is not illegal at all, and more common than you probably think.
The most popular one for me is the "Bad Boys" theme from Cops, I've been serenaded with that many times.

Not illegal, but it is all the things J P said. Why would you want to piss off the officer? Sounds like you are begging for trouble and I'll bet the officer will help you find it.

I agree with trooper3316. It is not illegal. Most officers will probably just laugh or ignore you. It WON'T encourage the officer to make your life any easier.
