What would be the sense? Bin Laden is no longer the significant figure he once was. In comparison, Al Qaeda is but a fraction of its former self. The few tapes of Bin Laden were indicative of the desperation that Al Qaeda is feeling to once again become a major force.

Good question but the answer could only be a rectally exctracted wild ars guess (I pulled it right outta my ars!). It does however, bring up a good point. I do believe the tapes are real. I also believe that the terrorists watch them on our news stations and take note of what we leave out. That gives them information they can use for whatever purpose since they will know what interests us. Who knows how these devious minds operate? They can plant little lies in the right spots and give us false intelligence. Think about it. Its scary

I thought it was Al Qaeda that was keeping the tapes of thier likely-dead-from-kidney-disease leader coming? Sometimes I wonder if the jihadi equivalent of Ed Wood didn't shoot 100 years worth of video of bin Laden in one weekend. He certainly doesn't seem to be aging - or changing his clothes - much.

Good question, because it shows you are smart enough to figure out the fear-based ploy used by this administration to keep people confused and which allows them to be played like puppets. We are being tricked, and it means we are giving up TRILLIONS of dollars for a war that just makes the rich folks richer, and allows them to take away more of our liberties.
