The biggest lie in recent memory is the Democratic party trying to claim President Bush lied about Saddam possessing WMD's as an excuse to invade Iraq. Truth be told, it was the Democratic party, starting with Bill Clinton, who first called for the removal of Saddam because of WMD's. When no WMD's were found, suddenly the Dems developed selective memories and Bush was a liar who invaded Iraq to help his oil company buddies.

Yes: inflation. Get the numbers on cost of food, gasoline, housing, utilities, all those things that consumers buy and do the math.
Actual inflation for the past 25 years has been 7 - 10%.
