If I use a PC keyboard on my new imac, will I be missing any keys? Do mac keyboards have keys that PC keyboards don't?

Yes they dont have a number lock key, the numbers to the right work always. They also do have an insert key instead its a help key.

Most of the time Print screen, scroll lock, and pause break are replace with F14-16. the newer keyboards have extra functions too like volume control, disc ejection and other useful computer hot keys

The apple key does the same thing as the Windows key so you can swap keyboards. And the Mac keyboard looks so much cooler. However, the multimedia keys probably won't work and a few others won't be labelled correctly. A Mac F13 is actually the PC Print Screen and so on.

Mac keyboards have (on the bottom row, where the spacebar is) control,Option,Command. The option is similar to alt, but it does more. When you hold it down and type there are symbols that are used such as the registered symbol"®" and others like œ ® † ¥ ø π and others. That is some of the main differences. I don't know if the PC keyboard will give you these symbols if you hold down the alt key.

not quite but really simular. the macs have the apple button and the pcs have the windows button and also have ctrl. but other than the its the same
