Is it because Bush wants to give more billions, or trillions, to his Illuminati vanguard country into the middle east and that having a charade of getting Israel to make peace with Palestine is required so congress foots the bill?

Why does the media call it a peace conference when all the US has to do is stop giving Israel money to buy weapons from us and to tell them to get the hell out of Palestine.

When Israel is the aggressor supported by the US, what does having a peace conference mean? It means nothing if all the Palestinians want is for Israel to get out and stop killing them and trying to get them to leave their own country.

It's all just complete nonsense.

It's just posturing. Nothing will come of this, because for something to come of it, Bush would have to lessen support for Israel----not going to happen---Israel will not give up Golan, and the Palestinians (not fully represented in the conference despite their elections) will not recognize Israel as a "Jewish" state without massive concessions.

Condi Rice is also going to try and salvage her utter failure as Sec of State. How ironic that the woman once praised as the "expert" on Russia has completely aliented Putin.

He did do something, he set the plan for the road map to peace. The problem is neither side wanted to give up important views. The right for Israel to exist and ending the violence. Than Israel wants to hold on to the land from the war.

It benefits the ultimate goal of securing the middle east. Peace is a plus, so why not? Makes the Israelis happy (and we want them happy, don't we?), and it's one less hot spot for us to have to cover with our militia. As a bonus, he can also turn around and say, "See? I'm not such a bad guy after all."

Smoke and mirrors...watch the other hand.

No. Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Israel....they're all in the Middle East. 2001 is when America, under GWB, went to the Middle East...right after that 9-11 thing; you do recall that, yes?

He might have been busy with some other region of the Middle East?

If Bush started substadizing gas out of his own pocket you people would complain about it. He's doing the right thing! Be happy about it!
