Do you think it's fair that Oprah Winfrey is endorsing Obama for president since she obviously going to influence the voting? Do you think Oprah is overstepping her boundaries?

No celebrity has ever went so far to openly endorse politicians (especially a canidate for president) as Oprah has for Obama. She's unfairly swaying the votes. Oprah has tens of millions of viewers a day.

None of those celebrities that get involved with voting actually say who they're voting for because they know it's unfair. Oprah's probably only endorsing Obama because he's black.

"Uh, people are allowed to publicly support their candidate, organizations do it all the time." Orginizations that don't have fifty million Americans hanging on their every word.

Oprah has been political in the past. I don't think her supporting a candidate for president is a surprise or overstepping her boundaries. Look around, actors like Sean Penn and George Clooney are involved in policy making, etc. There really doesn't seem to be any boundary to overstep.

It's not unfair. Public celebrity figures endorse candidates (even if not officially) all the time. Obama got really lucky having Oprah endorse him. Now all of those who didn't follow the race and watch Oprah will vote for him!

Uh, people are allowed to publicly support their candidate, organizations do it all the time. EDIT: How tired, Oprah is a smart woman and is not about to endorse anyone because of what color they are, newsflash: Black people can think critically.......you think organizations like the UAW, Teamsters, SEIU, NAACP and other groups dont influence a whole lot more people than Oprah youre giving her WAY too much power, LOL......

Well this is America she can endorse anyone she wants. Even though Oprah can influence a lot of things whether she can influence someone to vote for president is another story.

That is the point. If a highly respected figure like Oprah endorses a candidate, that is a good thing. That is what they want. That is how endorsement works.
