Vegans choose to be that way because of animal rights.

I do not like meat and I am lactose intolerant. I am a lactose intolerant vegetarian who wears leather - ergo, not a vegan.

As to protein, you only need about 8% of your calories from it and what you do not need is wasted. Meat has 40%+ and most of that gets wasted. It is easily obtained by eating soy products and vegetables.

But, I believe in live and let live and that goes for meat eaters and vegans alike. I am, after all, in America, and true to my heritage (or at least the ideals of it.)

theres a beatyfull reason if you still are one you hold your head up high don't worry what others say cause just know you gain highly respect for your self.rather your a guy or a girl theres nothing wrong! with still being a vegan. you make a good name for yourself. and not a ugly name.the good Lord wants ones like you to live a clean life.until one day you meet miss or mr right. and not only that you don't have to worry about un-wanted pgs. or any diseases. I mean no harm in what I am saying here I am trying to help is all. think you for your time.

there is no purpose in being a vegan. By eating meat and animal products, you are giving needed protein to your body. most vegetarians and vegans look skinny, because they aren't giving themselves needed energy that they get from animals. Plants can only give you some protein, meat gives ya a whole lot more.

it might be an over whelming amount of sympathetic cells in the brain making people feel for animals rather then eat them.

unfortunately once the person becomes a vegan they get stuck in the mind set because of habit and the severe lack of protein and omega 3 fatty acids in their brains, they also generally die earlier then healthy people who eat meat. due to poor nutrition and A over abundance of fiber that over time wears out their guts.

there is also debate over blood type diets. supposedly people with A blood types process greens better then other blood types and generally don't handle meat as well. so in general like to eat greens more

There are health benefits to discontinuing the consumption of animals and their bi-products. Its all about your chemistry I imagine. Aside from health related reasons alot of people do not agree with the cruelty animals subjected to obtain their bi-products such as milk or eggs.

I love veggies and have a milk allergy. so it's easy for me.
I don't care what others eat- it's not political or a moral issue with me.

vegans feel that it is not right to kill animals, so they choose not to eat meat or dairy products.
