While we found many people who hated Mrs Clinton, those who loved her were few and far between. Certainly, many said they would vote for her, but the reasons cited tended to be her status as the top Democrat

Here in the US I do not see Hillary as hated rather, people are scared, this is something new to Americans a woman running for President. You Brits were blessed with Margaret Thatcher she paved the way for women to become leaders in the free world.
Hillary has been leading in the polls most of the primary season. She is very popular among Democrats, but she has several things going against her.
1. She is the first woman to run for president.
2. Her husband was president.
3. The controversies of her husbands administration.

Any woman running for president will have a rough time until a woman is elected same as with any non white male.

Americans need to look at her rather than her husband. She has done a good job as senator and has shown her leadership ability. Americans need to get over their prejudices in order to keep pace with today's world.

Senator Clinton--a fine woman--is enjoying the latest polls. This is good news, keeping her name in the press is the name of the game. Those darn polls have put her front and center.

The only barrier Hillary has to the White House is her ability to beat the Republican candidate. Given the competition this will not be a problem.

Hate will make you sick and will not effect this election. Mrs. Clinton is loved by millions.

You've gotten 40 answers in 6 minutes so far! Lots of people have strong feelings about Hillary! I hardly want to add my voice to the general din, but nobody looks at as I do so I'll tell you what I think.

The Republicans don't campaign with issues so much as they do with slime. Every Democratic candidate in recent years has been subjected by the Republicans to 'the politics of personal destruction'. Willie Horton, Whitewater, The Swift Boat story, all were basically lies, repeated over and over, echoed in the media, to discredit Democratic candidates.

My feeling is that the Republicans desperately want Hillary to win the Democratic nomination because she is the easiest to slime. They told a LOT of lies about her husband, all through his two terms. When the Republicans took control of Congress they basically ignored their legislative job and spent all their time making spurious accusations of Clinton and investigating them. They accused him of little, nasty things like holding up traffic at LAX Airport while he got a haircut on the main runway in Air Force 1, and of big things like murder, drug-dealing, rape and treason. They repeated these accusations over and over, long after they'd been discredited, and even repeat them today as if they'd been proven.

Hillary is seen as the heir to the Clinton-bashing slime. The Republicans see her as just as slime-able. So they have coronated her as the presumptive candidate, and of course the media picks up on this and repeats it.

I have a pet theory that the Republicans are even funneling money into her campaign. They have been caught doing this before in state elections--secretly funding a candidate in the primaries that they think will be easier to beat in the general election.

Hillary is far from my ideal candidate. I'm proud to say I didn't vote for her husband either time, but I think he did a passable job, especially when compared to the president we have now. The Democrats, in general, try to pull the country together, to achieve a bi-partisan consensus, while the Republicans do all they can to sow discord and partisan animus, to polarize the nation. That's one reason to vote for Hillary.

If (perhaps -when-) Hillary gets the nomination we're going to see a slime-fest the likes of which we never have before. There will be people coming forward to testify they saw Hillary at Communist Party meetings, or the Skinheads. Women will testify they had sex with her. She'll be accused of corrupt practices as an attorney. Girls who were friends with Chelsea when they were little will swear Hillary abused them. God only knows what the Repubs will come up with--these people truly have no shame.

I will discount all of this because I see how they've done it before. I will probably vote for her because between the two parties she is the best alternative.

She's a frightening prospect for president. Her whole life is politically motivated including the forgiving of her errant husband. She's a fake that's not to be trusted. The thing about the Clinton's is that it's all about ambition. While I liked him as President I thought he was a horrible father and family man. And as for Hillary, I think her life has centered on this one ambition. She has always wanted to be the first female president of the US. Everything else took a back seat. The problem is you just can't pin her down and she is too cagey. Even when asked if the Senate was a stepping stone on her way to the Presidency she denied it. Now we know it was in fact only a stepping stone. She still has yet to make a case of why she would make a good president other than she really really wants the job.

I don't exactly Hate her. But I certainly don't want her for President, either. I don't think she's the right person for the job. I do think a woman could do the job, but I don't think she's the right woman. I think she's an old school politician who does nothing more than parrot party attitudes. What we need now is less partisanship and more compromise between the two extremes.

I find Hate an abused word for Hilary. But that's ok.
I understand that Hilary and Billie both have high I.Q.'s.
They are both very egotistic, will say and do anything to get what they want. Bill was more charismatic in asking, while his counterpart is more aggressive and will destroy those who try to stand in her way.
When in the processes of stealing (furniture & other value ables) from the White House on Billies departure, no one wanted to stop the Clinton's and be on their hit list.

Because she is a worm.

The pollsters haven't got anything right. They are like the media ... mostly biased toward the liberal left and the democratic party. They're not asking the right people (like in the heartland of America) what they think. She is detested there and that is where the vast majority of voters live.

She is going to get creamed in Iowa. For some reason, no one in the American media has pointed out that Iowa has never elected a woman senator, congressperson or governor.

Hillary bows out in flames.

I don't think that she is hated. I just think that alot of people like her but just don't feel that she is the one for the job right now. I certainly feel that way. I would not vote for her in the primaries, however if she is nominated as the Democratic candidate I will vote for her if the general election.

If you are't tired of haughty rich people and their wives then vote for her. I guess you aren't considering the amount of reality shows on TV that have to do with the rich.
