Anyways, I'm curious..I asked this a few months ago, and I am wondering if your opinions have changed:
Do you perfer the gimmick of John Morrison better or that of Johnny Nitro?
I remember some fans weren't completely happy with the change from Nitro to Morrison, nor with the new name, but what are your thoughts now that we have seen Morrison in action for the past few months? Was the Johnny Nitro gimmick better or is the John Morrison gimmick better? Why?

hey supergirl!! congrats on being Top Contributor!!! just like your catchphrase,i was getting curious on why u werent top contributor...hmmm...haha anyways,i kept my promise that i would answer this question,so..here's it! lol

well,lemme do a straight run-down & look back at his Tag-Team days,& then give u my ultimate answer.
Johnny Nitro's Pros:
-His 8 pacs & hollywood custom made looks,& other then that,i didn't see any pros of him back then!
Cons:
-lol admit it CG,he was awful on the mic & at promos back then!!! lol back then,i wondered if he knew what the hell he was talking about ! lol! if i recall right,he was so goddamn awful,creative only gave him 1 chance on the mic.The one being a press conference with himself & Melina,talking about his IC title.U recall that one?
& then the promo he did backstage with Melina,the one whereby he didnt know what he was talking about,& he seemed pretty lost,& looked as if creative forced the words on him,& got himself splashed with paint all over by Jeff Hardy,remember that one? lol! kk,i'll stop pissing u off! lmao
-Wasn't given much wrestling & TV time.He was kinda ill-fated back then.He was slowly gaining momentum,WWE was pushing him,then all of a sudden,they stopped,& started pushing the likes of Umaga,Lashley,Carlito,Super Crazy,Jeff Hardy.Nitro was suddenly cast aside alas Shelton Benjamin,lol,& was sent to wrestle on Heat instead.Sheeshhhhh!!!
-One dimensional wrestling style.Back then,he could only wrestle a fast paced aerial,high risk,high flying style.He lacked mat skills,a smash mouth style,brawler style etc etc,u get it! If up till today,he is till using the gimmick Johnny Nitro,& is facing the likes of The Undertaker,Kane,Shawn Michaels & Triple H,screwd he damn is!!! but kudos to him,despite only having a one-dimensional wrestling style,he still managed to capture the IC title 2 times! lol
-He lacked a Trademark Finisher.He was one of the rare few wrestlers who didnt have a finisher.Without a finisher,he won matches by either rolling his opponent up,or when Melina helped him by distracting the ref & stuff like that..as a result,it made him look awful,winning matches in a ugly way.U get it,u feel my pain for Nitro...
-Melina was holding him back,& perharps it distracted him,causing him to have a slight deprovement.
With WWE focused on pushing Melina in the women's division,WWE left for Nitro to rot on RAW.WWE stopped pushing him,He didnt have any matches,& was instead sent to Heat to wrestle the likes of jobbers,Hacksaw Jim Duggan etc.From wrestling young talented guys on the A show,he ends up on the F show,wrestling low standard wrestlers & a has been. His confidence took a massive downfall as a result,& it was possibly the saddest point of his career.If u watched Heat on the internet,u could see Nitro didn't have the passion in his matches anymore,& he was deproving BIG TIME! i'm serious!!!
-Didnt have his own identity.When people mentioned his name,people go,isnt he the guy from Tough Enough? Was he Eric Bischoof's assistant? isnt he the MNM guy?
& was using the entrance theme of MNM,& was sharing it with Melina... arghhhh!!!!what a ***** slap across the face of John!!!
ooooo now my fave part..JOHN MORRISON!!!
Pros of John Morrison:
-He finally has more wrestling & TV time!!! with this much time given to him,adding to the Smackdown/ECW talent exchange,he gets to wrestle on a regular ongoing basis,facing the likes of young talented guys like CM Punk,Elijah Burke,Shelton Benjamin,MVP,Matt Hardy & legends/veterans such as The Undertaker,Tommy Dreamer,Kane,Edge,Rey Mysterio.Not only would he get to wrestle wrestlers with different styles,he also gets the chance to learn from them,& also improve himself,& try out new moves!
-He finally has his own identity!!! lol! yeahhhhh!!! with his own Entrance theme alreay kicking *** adding to his new sexy,hot rockstar look,whoa! how much more can u say that's so goddamn fly? rofl!
-He has shown tremendous improvement in his mic skills & promos!!! hell,from a guy lacking in mic skills & promos,to a guy who is now one of the best guys on the mic & promos,wow,Morrison deserves a round of applause! well,sounds exaggerating that he's one of the best on the mic,but come on,look at WWE in a 3 brands view.How many people own in the mic other then HBK,MVP,HHH,Flair? very few.Enough said.& his promos are pretty well done! good job Morrison!
-He finally has his own Trademark Finisher.LOL FINALLY!!! it's been a long time coming!! maybe WWE can give him a second finisher to add to his corkscrew neckbreaker..since this guy is so athletic,ornorthodox,Canadian Destroyer anyone?
-He's an all rounder now,& has improved BIG TIME in the ring!!! not only is he more quick & ring savvy,he has also shown more hunger to succeed,& is very ruthless when executing moves! He has also shown that he's pretty good in his mat skills,& he has proven that he is a decent brawler/hardcore guy (extreme rules matches),& is a even better high-risk-high flyer than when he was Nitro.He also showed that he is ornorthodox & is a pretty great smash mouth guy,look at his kicks!!!
-Innovative moves.This guy is f*cking unique!!! Breakdance legdrop,handstand overhead kick(Pele),corkscrew moonsault/shooting star press,backbreaker to neckbreaker combo,180 degrees dive to a baseball slide dropkick,wide range of moonsaults & kicks,wow,this guy has impressed us BIG TIME!!!
-Endurance is superb.Look at the matches he had with CM Punk.Especially the 15 mins of Fame match,& the match which CM Punk won.He has proven that he can last till he drops!!!
-Ring General.Ever since he became John Morrison,WHOA! he has become a fantastic ring general!! he makes use of the ring post,steel steps,ring ropes,wow,how much more can this guy impress us?
-He finally has nicknames.The Shaman of Sexy,The Guru of Greatness,The Avatar,The Tuesday Night Delight,The New face of Extreme,lol!
-He's PHENOMENAL!!!
Cons:
-None.
Therefore,the gimmick of John Morrison is better than that of Johnny Nitro.DREAM! LOVE! SCREAM! MORRISON!!!

Wrestling Answer - Well, John Morrison and Johnny Nitro are like almost complete opposites. Personally, I hated Johnny Nitro. I did not like him at all, whatsoever. Nitro gimmick cannot work in singles match-up. It only works works with the stable MNM. Besides, the nitro music is very annoying. Joey Mercury and Johnny Nitro make an awesom heel team along with melina. Now the gimmick "John Morrison". Ahh...well, that gimmick works for both Nitro and Morrison. John Morrison looks like a good name because Joey Mercury is not here anymore and Morrison is now not in any stables. So, Morrison works better. Morrison is a very athletic wrestler. He is now getting the push he deserved when he was Nitro. I'm glad that MNM is gone because MNM as a stable was going nowhere. Now that Morrison is single, he is actually getting a push so it's a good thing! Y!A really made me change my opnions about other wrestlers. I love Morrison now, as a wrestler. Anyways, cool Question!

Congrats On the TC Badge. And enjoy it cuz you never know when it will be taken away like how I got suspended and lost it.
I like John Morrison better than Johnny Nitro.
When he was Nitro he always had Melina behind him and he was in midcard.
But as Morrison , he has a new theme, new look, new personality. I guess Melina was holding him back. And the Rockstar gimmick sure gives him more of a Heel personaility than Nitro. When he was Nitro I don't really know what his gimmick was other than having a Woman beside him. And it gives him a better look on ECW. Think if Punk feuded with Nitro. Wouldn't have been the same. Plus I think he has such a better move set now than when he was Nitro. Did you see Morrison doing springboards when he was Nitro. I don't think so. His theme music is greater now. Better than his old. His new look is better also. And his entrance I don't think the camera would be in slow motion as Nitro.
Just so many reasons to like Morrison better than Nitro.

John Morrison's Gimmick is way more Main Event material than the Johnny Nitro Gimmick.

Definitely John Morrison because as Johnny Nitro, he looks more like a mid-card performer, not a main eventer

John Morrison in my opinion is better. is this gimmick that got him into a main eventer. besides Johnny Nitro's music sucked anyway. Morrison's is pretty good.

John Morrison is gimmick is probably better than Johnny Nitro was...as Johnny Nitro he usually was put aside from single competitions...he was mostly known for MNM...Now that he is John Morisson...he have more single championship prospects like the ECW Championship
But the only thing that i don't like about Morisson is that he is using something that i was before him...the nickname sha_man029!!!! He use a modified one "The shaman of sexy" but its still shaman...anyway he is better now and Congratz again!

OK, now baout your wrestling question...
Nitro or Morrison?
Well, at first I said Nitro and I think most of us did and the reason for that was...well because Morrison was new to us and he needed to prove himself and hell yeah,,,he did!
Now, I have always been a fan of Nitro/Morrison! I was always an MVM fan and I still am, and I am loving the Morrison gimmick!!
Johnny Nitro won championships, but Morrison wins WORLD Championships!
As Nitro, he had the gimmick, though he had Melina ring side which held him back and also held Melina back!
But now as Morrison...nothging can hold him back! He is the Shaman of Sexy...The Tuesday Night Delight (defaintly! hehe)...he is...JOHN...MORRISON! (Morrison walks out to the arena...slow motion camera!) LOL! HAHA, I had to add that! XD!
But anyways, even their attitudes are even different, even though they were both heel gimmicks!
Nitro has the skills and the ability and he had one hell of an ego, buuuut....
Morrison has all that plus mic skills and one hell of a cokcy attitude...which I love!!!
His ego grew alot when his gimmcik changed to Morrison and so did his wrestling ability, his feuds, his mic skills, his career and of coarse...his list of WWE Championships!
Bottom line is...I like the Morrison gimmick better, but I will always be a Nitro fan forever...and everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...everrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

Well, he is the same wrestler but i believe that the Nitro gimmick held him back for a while and he wouldn't have get a push(like he did).I think that the Nitro gimmick will only fit well on MNM not in singes division...
John Morisson is a more cocky attitude gimmick and his presence has more charisma that the Nitro one.That hepled and will help him to establish himself even more because he is very athletic and a great wrestler...
I don't think that anyone liked Johnny Nitro much but as you can see John Morrison has started to building up his own fansbase(and i know that you are one of his biggest fans xD)
