When I'm comfortable in my own skin, when I don't give a rat's @ss what anyone else thinks. When I'm with friends and loved ones I trust enough to let the guards down. I know I'm happy when I can just be me, spouting things randomly off the cuff as my brain connects to the idea, when I can make something perfectly normal sound sexual without worrying about repurcussions.
A good example would be my yelling at a clueless coworker who needed to have the trailer hitch on his truck changed, (hyper Christian,) that I needed to slip a ball into his rear end. I used a tone that echoed through the office.
You'll know yourself when you have fun just being yourself in any situation and couldn't give an attempt for an aerial act of intercourse with a perambulatory pastry as to what anyone else thinks.
The least self concious people I've been around, have typically been the most fun to be around. The didn't care what anyone thought. When you achieve that state, (alcohol helps,) you're well on your way to being there.
You'll know when you make jokes at your own expense. One of my favorite authors mentioned knowing when you're taking yourself too seriously. Don't fall into that trap.

when you don't feel that internal struggle of deciding what to do or how to act.
happiness is when what you feel, say, do and believe are all in harmony.
if you are saying something you don't believe, or acting in a way you really don't feel then you are not being yourself.
