I believe the family simply needed a bigger house They took in the kids of a relative who was murdered.

The home they tore down was beautiful and there was nothing wrong with it. ABC should have just renovated and added more space to the existing home. I disagree with tearing down perfectly good homes.

the couple took in her dead sisters 4 kids after she and her boyfriend were murdered by her ex-boyfriend, oh and the kids dad was killed in a car accident before that and their oldest kid saw that and the murder of her mother. They needed a bigger house to hold a family now, of ten.
