Seems like it ought to be about 2,300 or 2,400 miles. You could put it on Mapquest and that would give you driving distance, or lay a string on a globe and mark from Chula Vista to Dayton then hold the part of the string you measured over the scale of miles and that would give you air miles.

Very far...if you're going from ohio to california- you'll need to travel forward in time, then travel the physical distance as well...& you'll need to do the opposite if you're going from california to ohio! Good luck with that flux capacitor!
