It means when someone hurts your pride, and you hang on to that by showing them the silent treatment a grudge, or not making amends. Swallowing your pride means to just make up with that person and let the crap go! Pride isn't a bad thing, but having too much pride is.

there are just some times when no matter how much we hate doing something or how against it we are that it's best if we just do it and get it over with. swallowing your pride means taking a big deep breath and jumping in with both feet even when we feel like we don't want to.

Pride's a tough one. It really is the root of all sin. It's probably the toughest thing to get rid of. It will probably take a life time, but I really need to keep trying. I really need to 'swallow' my pride.

i think it means bite the bullet and admit you are wrong. i also think it means that if you dont like the job you are doing just get on with it and do it.
