false - it was the 8th grade - math. i live in NY state where we have a really f-ed up testing system that gives us two three semester courses. i'm a year ahead in math (from when i was much younger) and i almost dropped out of the high school level math that year because i was doing so badly. i had to get a tutor, and i just barely got a "b" (yeah - a "b" isn't bad, but wait for it) because she felt bad and didn't want me to get a "c", but i got a 99% (no curve) on my state test!!! ahhhhh!!!! she makes me so angry.
since it was a high school course it ended up on my high school transcript and that was one of two "b"s that i've ever gotten (the other one was in pre calc - first period (7:20 AM) with a teacher who didn't want to work, was quitting a several pack a day habit and got pregnant ahhhh!!!) and one "b+" - in physics with a teacher that didn't teach anything before he got fired (and his NY state teaching license rescinded) for sexual harassment - yes i was harassed, and he was replaced by a teacher who retired the spring before but came back to teach two classes (he ended up teaching six - with conflicting lab periods which forced us to have a lab assistant who was some really old eastern european guy who called us stupid on more than one occasion - he was a physicist, not a teacher), had a several pack a day habit and refused to eat or smoke before our eighth period class when the ice cream truck would park in the lot right by our window which would make him become distracted...example, "so as you see, the magnetic field lines go...oh wow i'm hungry. i have this roast beef sandwich on a thick roll with mayo and..." - anyway, long story short, these teachers caused me to miss being in the top 10% of my class by something like.006 grade points!!!!! AHHHH!!!
thanks for letting me get that out - whew!

Very false. I always loved the teachers and classes that actually were good at teaching. I hated teachers who were just there to pick up a paycheck. I tormented them to make them want to quit. Boy high school sucked. I don't miss that place.

True. My history teacher, 9th grade, was the biggest ***** in the world. I've never hated a teacher before or after that. She was so miserable. But, I did SO well in her class. We had a total of 4 quizzes the whole year. It didn;t seem like we were learning anything, but I remembered so much. I always thought there was way too much to remember in history and science. But, like I said, she made it easy to memorize. And, she's was always pretty nice to me.

Er, way false. I respect teachers that I like and vice versa. If I didn't like a teacher at school, it was because he or she was mean or favouritised pupils. I had a tutor in my last year at university and she was great at her subject but everyone (including me) was petrified of her. In my books that makes her half bad at her job. Teaching isn't about just passing on knowledge, it's about building a relationship to your students and helping them not just with the learning material but with life.

It sounds like this all the time. Your best teacher keep on nuturing you, teaching you by correcting your mistakes in learning or behaving. When you grow older and mature, you probably regret for not following your teacher's (best) advice and end up with a hell lot of trouble in your life later on.

Most of the time I'd say it's false... But in my case it's actually true in the sense that I learned the most from her, although I absolutely hated her at the time.
