1. Calm Down
2. Find the LCD {Lowest Common Denominator}
*Here it would be 40, you get this by finding the lowest number that all of the numbers can go into evenly.
3. Change all the numbers so that they have the LCD
*5/8: 8 *
*5 = 40
*5 * 5 = 25
*5/8 = 25/40
4. Your numbers would be as follows:
* 25/40, 20/40, 30/40, 24/40
5. Now put them in order:
*20/40, 24/40, 25/40, 30/40
6. Finally, change them back to their original number:
*1/2, 3/5, 5/8, 3/4
Now you`re done!

It's relatively easy to determine which of 2 fractions is greater. If the fractions are a/b and c/d, then (a/b) is > than (c/d) if a*d > b*c. If a*d = b*c then the fractions are equal. If a*d < b*c then a/b is less than c/d.
You can use this and selectively compare pairs of fractions and use any number of sorting algortithm to order the set.
On the other hand, if you have a bunch of numbers, the easiest way to get them ordered is to make them easily comparable. One way is to make the denominator equal. So if you had the numbers 1/2, 3/4, 2/3, 5/6, you could make the denominator 12 (which is the L.C.D. or least common denominator) and then convert each number as: 6/12, 9/12, 8/12, 10/12. Is should be much easier to sort the numbers when they all have the same common denominator.
Finally, you can sort them by converting them to decimal. So, above:
5/8 is 0.625
1/2 is 0.5
3/4 is 0.75
3/5 is 0.80
etc....
Many fractions will not divide into a nice finite number, but you only need to calculate enough to compare it with the other numbers.

OK. What you have to do is to convert them to the same denominator. eg: 5/8, 1/2, 3/4.
1/2= 4/8 3/4 =6/8 so, order least to greatest is: 4/8. 5/8 6/8, OR 1/2, 5/8, 6/8.
3/4, 3/5. Find a common denominator.In this case, 20
3/4= 15/20. 3/5= 12/20. So order is 12/20, 15/20 OR 3/5, 3/4. Hope this helps

You can also change the fractions to give them the same denominator and then compare the numerators. Just remember that whatever you do to the bottom you must do to the top.
Eg. Comparing 5/8 and 3/4; you can change 3/4 to 6/8 by doubling the numerator and denominator, you can then see that 6/8 is greater than 5/8 so 3/4 is greater than 5/8.

the lower the denominator...the higher the value...eg. 1/2 a pizza is greater than 1/8th of a pizza
1/2...3/4...7/10....5/8...3/5
just divide it on a calc and check the decimal values
