I agree with the Athiest *****!!! She gives the perfect example of how to write a speech and hold people's attention.

My advice....don't go to the PETA site if you are looking for facts!!! They are extremists and only preach propaganda!

Well there are 3 good ways to start a speech:
1. You can use hyperbole (exagerated language) or
2. You can start with a rhetorical question and then give the answer afterwards. 'How many animals are we killing each year?' and then give the answer.
3.Use a simple fact from your brainstorming ideas.

Start out with a shocking fact that grabs the attention of the auidence....from here you need to explain your side and why you feel this way. Hopefully you are against animal abuse and you want harsh punishment for people who commit these terrible acts. You need to make statements and use facts and websites to support your stance.

at the beginning you should say something like "how would you feel if you were an animal being use just to test if something is safe for humans, they stick needles in you while your chained down!" then you can go on about the facs
