well, global warming is the big one, but you could break it down into the ice caps, green house gases, the Ozone layer, anything really.

Go on the Internet and look up the name of the founder of the Weather Channel. He wrote an article last week that said our climate change is normal and we as humans have little or no affect on that change.
He goes on to say that the talk of Global Warming is the biggest hoax in the past 100 years perpetuated by man against man. If you read the article, you'll see that he feels there are those with a political agenda who see financial gain if they convince the rest of us to fear global warming and that fear will cause us to change our lifestyles which will create great opportunity for these global-warming pimps.

They're still building the particle accelerator in Switzerland. It's being funded and ran by CERN. I'm a physics nerd, so it's quite a large deal to me.
It's important, and not many people know about it. That'd be my choice. I mean, what's cooler than accelerating particles to 99.9% the speed of light and smashing them together?
