Omg i had the same problemmm! There's good news and bad news to this. The bad news is it's not the nailpolish that's causing this :S It's a type of fungi/infection,etc. The good news is it can be cured! :D
All u need to do is the following:
Instructions
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You'll Need

* Lemon juice
* Baking powder
* 3% hydrogen peroxide
* Denture tablet
* Hand and nail moisturizer

Steps:

Step One
Buff your nails lightly to remove small amounts of yellow discoloration.

Step Two
Dissolve a denture-cleaning tablet in water and use this to soak your nails for several minutes.

Step Three
Squeeze fresh lemon juice into a small bowl ,then soak your nails for a few minutes. Wash your hands and follow with a moisturizer.

Step Four
Make a paste of baking powder and lemon juice and apply a small amount to each nail. Buff lightly, then wash, dry and moisturize your hands and nails.

Step Five
Make a paste of three tablespoons of baking soda and one tablespoon of 3% hydrogen peroxide. Use a cotton swap to apply the paste to the tops of your nails and underneath the tips. Leave on for five minutes, then rinse off.
I got this from this great website:http://www.ehow.com/how_2034154_whinte-yellow-nails.html

I hope i helped, sorry for the lengthy answer!
Msg back to tell me if it worked! :)
Good luck~

Stop wearing nail polish for a while and maybe rub some warmed up olive oil on your nails (it's supposed to be very nourishing). Hopefully the greenish color will go away after a while.

well you should stop painting your names maybe it will go away by itself

but when you paint your nails
you should clean them with nail polish remover and then use clear coat then another one then you use a the color that you choose then put another clear coat

and it will be easier to take the color off and wont damage your nails

plus you shouldn't keep the nail polish on for a long time

well good luck =D

they reason they turn green like that my not be from nail polish it can be fungi... you should get them checked out by a doctor....

but, if not try putting a clear coat/ base coat on before the color, many nail polishes will stain the nail and leave it discolored. clear coat/base coat will protect the nail itself.

EWWW! no offence. it might be like fungi or mold growing in u. i advise, cut down the polish. give it brake! u use to much that it reacts too much. it might only be left over paint, maybe. wash with soap and nail polish remover.

That sounds like a nail fungus. Go see a doctor or buy "Nail E.R." and follow the directions.

Time will help of course, but in the mean time, trim your nails and use lotion and help them accumulate air to make them heal.
