Why have a poll? they are 2 very different events. Dinner is while anybody clothing for dinner in Dinner Jackets for the gents and night dress for the ladies. Supper is a lot greater casual. yet the two are taken interior the night.

I call it supper when it's involved with some type of family or gathering.. and for dinner, i call it when it's just usual and casual not special one.
