I worked in the training room 6th period and did not wish to continue working there for various reasons and my counselor won't allow me to drop my class unless, I write a letter of resignation to the teacher of the class I am dropping, the result of this drop would allow me to have 5 periods in which I am academically eligible to do.

It's the proper way to leave a job - and you say you are "working" in the training room.

There is nothing wrong with a school trying to teach you the correct way to handle every day real life situations -- in fact they need to do more of this. Sadly, most kids leave school without having a clue about proper employment/ interview etiquette.

dont try to fight it, just write a bull$hit letter (about a paragraph), and then they cant tell you that you can't drop it... you'll end up going through more work trying to fight it than you would to just write the letter. i'll agree its pretty lame, but it's school, what more can you expect lol
