Ideals for going away gift?
A best friend is heading back to his country in december, what would be a good gift to show how much this friend has meant to me - hes 23m loves the american culture (fashion, music), outgoing,enjoys reading, and is religious

I think an American scrapbook would be great. That way you can put pitures of him and all his friends he has made here in there, plus all the places he has gone. You can also take that one step farther and print out pictures of his favorite bands, foods, and fun stuff like that.
If that doesnt work go buy a white pillow case and buy the iron on picture paper you can print on. And make him a picture pillow case he can take back with him.

I think you should make an American gift bag type thing. I don't know where he's from but maybe some foods (like peanut butter) and if he enjoys reading maybe the newest book from his favorite author. Also, I think if you guys are good friends you should get a nice picture frame with a picture of the two of you. You could also do a scrapbook with memories he's had in the US and you two have had together.

I like the address book and stamp idea. you want to stay connected. then a scrapbook of good times of you and that person is always nice to give. then a gift to remember america because if the person is leaving america he wants to remember it.

Something that means something to you both(cd,movie), a pciture of the two of you together or at least one of you. A srapbook is a good idea but I would make sure you filled it with things that you have done together.

a set of stationary or an address book to write friends' addresses. or a lot of stamps. something that will actually help him continue to connect with you.
