Yeah if it was like the movies. And you were all heroic and likely ended up not only escaping by your wit and instincts but saved the world in the same day- it'd be cool.
Other wise it wouldn't be. You'd most likely be scared as hell get bumped and bruised have to sleep somewhere with a bag over your head while handcuffed to something. You'd get a crick on your neck and you body would get sore from sitting in the same position and youd get cramps and all sorts of stuff. And you'd woner what sort of deep s*** you got into and if they planned on torture or killing you. And you'd be stressing about trying to escape and if you should risk it and when....Lol. Hope I didn't ruin it for you.

I don't want to find out. I'm inclined to think not.
PS- Don't forget that police snipers sometimes miss and get the hostage instead of the perpetrator.
