Never had a career, just a life long search for one. I've done woodworking, construction, painting, & spraying finish on cabinets and furniture. Though I may have fried a few brain cells breathing in toxic chemicals along the way, I must say I've enjoyed every job I've had. When you don't enjoy work anymore it's time to move on to a new job. I think I should be a proctologist because my husband always says I'm a pain in the @$$!

I had to earn a living since I was 16 to feed my wife and baby. My careers have changed with the seasons. I've been many things in my life. From a Clown to a Harley Mechanic to an Electronics Engineer working on Aircraft to a professional Musician playing guitar in the studios. We don't always have a choice, but my favorite is playing music. It doesn't pay as much as somethings I've done, but I like to get in my zone.
Thanks for the question.

Oh I had the perfect life....career wise. I was a Nurse, a D.J.,
an Investigator with a government agency for 20 years, a caregiver, a school bus driver, years ago when my children went to the school I drove for, a waitress and a grocery store cashier. The last two were second jobs I held in order to be able to raise my youngest son alone. I have many wonderful memories. My favorite? Being a Nurse. D.J. would be 2nd.

I worked at many things - because I had to. Then, when I was 35 and didn't have to work anymore, I found the career I truly loved.
I recently retired after 32 years in the travel industry.....and had the time of my life for all 32 years!!!!!!!

I would have joined the Air Force. I passed the first exam & my boyfriend didn't want me to go...so we got married & 17 years later we got divorced & by then, it was too late to go back. Nothing has ever really interested me beyond the learning point. I have had a lot of jobs, but never a career. I did however, enjoy owning my own business! I got to wear many hats & there was never a dull moment or a moments rest!

This is actually my 2nd career. I'm very happy with my career, but my career gives me a lot of internal options because of specialties. However, what I loved really loved the most in college was archeology and anthropology. Oddly enough I ended up in a state with 22 tribes and thousands of archeological sites.

I've never really had a career, just jobs. We moved a lot and I worked wherever I could to help pay the bills. One thing I would loved to have been was a forest ranger or rancher, doing something outdoors and working with animals.

I was an art major in college, but I've always been interested in history and ancient civilizations. I almost changed my major from art to classcs. I speak French, some German and had three years of Latin. I always wanted to be an archaeologist and study the early cultures of Europe and Asia. I would love to unearth some ancient city, or discover a kurgan of Scythian gold. Even though I have been knitting all my life, I am still interested in archaelogy.

In my younger years I managed dental offices and also assisted. The last eleven years of employment were in a Japanese motorcycle and motorsports company in sales administration. I traveled extensively in that job and enjoyed it. If I had it to do over, I would have attended college for a longer period of time and had a career in a research library.

I have always liked taking care of people, no matter what their age was. I don't do medical stuff, just help them when they needed help. I really enjoy working with the elderly and young kids. I work at the local school, so there for I am around the kids. Plus I help take care of my parents, so there is the elderly. I just wish that I had been doing all this sooner.
