as salaamu 'alaikym, my friend.
Insha'Allah, if one studies modern physics and optics, one learns that rainbows aren't arc, they are circles! They appear as arc due to the land interference in viewing them.
In Tibet, where the land, in many places falls away from view, it is not uncommon to see true rainbows in all of their circular glory.
Insha'Allah, circles have no end.
Insha'Allah, the end of the rainbow is the unattainable goal longed for by the near hopeless. At one time or another, virtually all person look for the same.
Insha'Allah, my rainbows are Islam, the revelations of the Holy Qur'an, the teachings of the Prophet (salaahu 'alaihi wasallaam) that help me remember what is truly important, lasing and real in my life.
My other rainbow is my daughter with her smile, her sparkling eyes and a whisper of "I love you, Daddy", in my ears.
Alhumdulillah! With these, I have found my "pot of gold". Alhumdulillah!
Ma'a salaam

Figuratively speaking, yes. She was the best thing that ever happened to me,& I lost her by trying to "improve" what was already perfect -- you see, God's gifts always are perfect. I have no more explanation for now -- I'm trying to keep some cheer going this season. Not to burst anyone's bubble, but the end of any rainbow is impossible to physically reach. By the time you get to the perceived "end", & if there's enough moisture left in the air, the rainbow (if still visible) will appear somewhere else -- because it's caused by refracted light.

Symbolically I would assume the end of the rainbow is the treasure one seeks so I would have to say yes. I found Islam (or maybe it found me) and it has been a treasure ever since. Now the test comes as to how I spend my treasure. Do I spend it wisely or foolishly? I trust Allah guides me to the right decisions.

No, so far I can't reach it. And I guess I've been to the end of a rainbow in my sweet dreams.
