They think it makes them big and bad. They have seen to many gagster movies and watch to many rap video. The truth is that’s how they think a man should act, there so wrong and most of them would piss their pants like school girls if anything ever really did happen like a gun fight or if they had to fight in a war. They see fools dressed up in red and blue bandanas as heroes, and real men, when in reality they are about as tough as a ladies bridge club. The real hero's and men are people like Gen. George S. Patton, Omar Bradley, Robert E. Lee, Grant, Sherman, Ridgeway(aka, old iron ****), these are real mean they were kind, honest, loyal treated women with respect and were more than willing to go into real battle and put themselves in harms way to protect this nation. They have killed and have had many killed on their orders, but never did so out of foolish reasons or pride, but out of the need to keep millions more safe. These are the people these little want to be tough guys should and need to be looking up to, not these pus*y bloods and crips, and M- what ever the hell their called, some Latin gang. They would give in, fold, and tear apart like a piece of cheap toilet paper if they were ever faced with any real struggle.

I think has a great deal to do with social status. I don't mean wealthy. But not living in poverty. I was lucky enough to be living in a upper middle class family and to live in the suburbs, there are no gangs here. But if you go to the big major city close to me, where there is alot of poverty, you see the people you are talking about. I read a report that white supremist groups are very prevelant in poor rural areas where there are no jobs or a decent way to live. The same goes for the bloods, crips, latin kings and all those other menaces to society you see around today. I just ignore them, and you should too, why waste your time worrying about them Music can play a big deal to, somebody can listen to rap with bad lyrics and take it too heart, or someone could be listening to a white power and take the lyrics to heart.
P.S. Please say that you are talking about gangs of all ethnicities and no just talking about the ones you see from a certain race of people. I think you know what I am talking about, it is not restricted to one race of people. I am not saying that was your intention, but it can come off that way to some people.

They think they have it made and want the world to know that they are the so called best and they are really junk, but do not want to face it. They think if they scare people and act like a big old gang member that people will run and not let them hurt them, which they will if they get a chance. Actually they are bums in disquise.

Growing up in such bad neighborhoods, you quickly
come to realize you must fight to stay on the right track.
All too often it is easier for them to succumb to gangs
because they feel a belonging, a strength they would
otherwise not have alone.
Imagine trying to be a young boy in the hood running
home in fear of your life to do your schoolwork so you could actually have a decent shot in life outside of the gang. The
"If you can't beat 'em, join 'em" falls into place.
How sad is that?

My take on gangs is that young men (sometimes women) band together with the "family" they never had. They subconciously crave the feeling of love and belonging, even though in reality it's not there, and it's an unhealthy choice of influences.

I totally agree with you, I don't know much, but they like to act like world leaders and find a place, and claim it for their own until another guy wants it, they fight over it, gangs form ect.
I heard that most of the hip-hop rivalry and gang rivalry started because of Tupac, and I still don't see why people idolize him. >_>
