okay, |10-4x| whenever something is inside those lines, it means that everything in them has to be positive. right now, the -4x is negative. so you would rewrite it as 10+4x.

now, the < (with the little line under it) acts as an = sign.

so... 10+4x=2. subtract 10 from both sides. 2-10=-8

now you have... 4x= -8. now divide -8 by 4 and you get 2.

therefore, x=2.

im not sure how to graph it on a coordinate plane, but on a number line, all you have to do is draw a line, mark the numbers -3 through 3 on it, and make a black dot on 2. the arrow in the original question is pointing left, so you would darken everything on the number line thats to the left of the dot.

hope ANY of that helps!

| 10 - 4x | ≤ 2 This can be rewritten as :
-2 ≤ 10 -4x ≤ 2
Subtract 10 from all terms getting:
-12 ≤ -4x ≤ -8
Divide by -4 getting:
3 >= x >= 2

>= means greater or equal to

On number line, put solid dots at 2 and 3.
Draw a line between the two dots. That's your graph.
