i drive a 1992 Bmw 325I

and the problem i am having is when i turn the igniton off and remove the keep my accsssories remain on such as the miles on the dash and my radio. my accessories are still getting power and this drains my battery i have to jump start it everytime i want to use it.

any help would be greatly appreciated

Without actually seeing the car, it sounds as though the ignition switch (not the key switch) but another switch that is activated by a rod when the key is turned, is not coming off all the way. Simple enough problem to fix for most American made cars, but I really don't know about the BMW.

As was said, take it to a shop, and let them diagnose the problem. BMW's are strange characters sometimes, the simplest jobs become the most time consuming and tedious.

You will need to go to an automotive electrical shop to have the proper diagnosis and repair. Usually, it can be done in an hours time and cost less than $100. Why chase symptoms and waste your time when you will get this fixed the correct way the first time?
