George bush had the support of other countries and did not bomb iraq alone

al queda are a bunch of murderers who would like to turn the world back to the dark ages, where their type of sharia law would not be out of place

sharia law should be kept for those countries where the population are muslim and want it

US is not muslim (nor is UK) and do not want it..........

im agree that democracy is not likely to be successful in this part of the world - they seem to do beeter if they have a dictator as the western idea of democracy does not usually require car-bombings and suicide bombings against the opposition ........

perhaps in two or three hundred years the tribal mentality might have changed and they may be ready to consider another attempt at democracy.........

Some differences are:
1. Al Qaeda gave no warning,
2. Al Qaeda targeted defenseless civilians instead of military targets,
3. Al Qaeda made no attempt to help the citizens of the USA or to change its government to make it better by anybody's standards.
4. When US troops unintentionally harm civilians, they do their best to provide aid to those they harmed; the civilians know this and bring the wounded to the US military for treatment.
6. US troops work to repair the infrastructure and bring Arabic-language school books for the children.

None

But one leads to the other. Al Quaeda bomb the West so the West bomb Islamic countries and try to remove any Al Quaeda sympathetic governments. Every action has consequences and the consequence of Al Quaeda attacking the West is that the Middle East got attacked.

I mean, if you go up to the big kid in the playground and punch him on the nose he's going to punch you back. He's also going to give you a wedgie and a chinese burn. You can't then run off crying and saying he's "oppressing" you and bullying you because. . . well . . . you started it . . .

Like it or not Kamran, George Bush is a democratically elected President. Your heroes in Al Queda are not. Simple as that.

The huge difference is that under a civil regime there's always the possibility of change for the better and success, even if it takes a long while,.......

BUT, under religious regimes, led by illiterates fanatics not able to think for themselves, countries will never change for the better, instead, as we can clearly see, countries go back to the Stone Age.........!!!!!!!

One could argue that the old testament that the christians believe in suports most of the sharia law.
The bible says stone adultarers and gays.
The bible says cut the hand of those who steal
The bible says drowned paedophiles
Those who would take another mans inheritance is acursed before the LLord.

And most of all it says love your enemy.
I read no where to kill those who hold diferent beliefs.

So one is a littele out of line with the christian bible and the other is nearly in line with it. Maybe thats why it is so threatening to the christian west..!!

Your questions are usually more articulate Kamran. If you ask 80% of planet Earth what they think of George Bush. What do you think you will hear? My opinion is that if the nation of Islam is incompatible with democracy (which it clearly is) Then world war III is on it's way.

If you take out all the politics and just analyze the words the way you would for an university critical thinking class, its basically the same thing. There isnt much of a difference.
