Neither, if you can't have both. You have to be happy if you are in love and if you are in love you are, or should be happy but even if you are not with a special person to love, you have to love life itself to be happy.

You should be able to make yourself happy. Then once you fall in love with someone, they will enhance what you already have within yourself. So why is this even a question?
