What happened to the television?

Question

Why is there nothing on TV but "Reality" shows, Government propaganda, and over-hyped "News"? Why is this medium such a strong form of control/brainwashing? It wasn't always this way. Why is there less and less educational/informative programming? Half the time you spend watching television is spent on commercials anyway. What is the point?

Well there is the writers strike but still there's a REAL lack of good programs which aren't politically biased. Sex sells or so Hollyweird believes & this limits quality. Too many "actors & actresses" today couldn't act their way out of a wet paperbag even if there were good shows.
