The problem these days aren't the fast drivers. It's the bad drivers. More times than not, when do accidents happen, when traffic is starting to get heavy, not bad yet but starting to get there and bad weather. Very few accidents in comparison are speed related.
Sadly, cops only care about speeders as they can easily nab them and write up tickets. They get their commission and the economy is practically driven by traffic violation payments. The problem will not be solved by over weight, over paid cops hiding under bridges, pen at the ready. But they don't want to solve the problem. Sure, a few people may die, but financially for every city that has a police force, it's a golden goose egg.

Yes I think people drive too fast, there are speed limits for a reason. You can be driving 60-80 mph on the highway and watch cars fly by, weaver in and out of traffic.

100 what? Please tell me thats km/h not mph.
But yes, some people drive too fast, like the idiots who think 4WD or AWD means they're invincible in slick conditions.
