My Twins were 7 months for their first christmas, i just got them a few developmental toys, and when it came time to open the presents, we helped them! It was such a beautiful morning!

Even though the age recommendation for this toy is 18 months.. I got a tickle me cookie monster for my daughter (9 months old). It had no small parts so i figured it would be perfectly fine. I also got her Rainforest twist and spin suction toy for her high chair and other flat surfaces(age for 3 month and up).
I'm thinking about getting her a push walker and a counting maracasby leap frog. I'm putting bath toys and a vibrating teething ring in her stocking. I think thats all i'm getting her since my family will spoil her rotten. Good luck and best wishes to you.

First.... you should buy him the fisher price musical thign that someone else mentioned, where they look into the mirror and can sing and dance and hold the microphone and all that.... He can sit or stand... Id get it for J but i think hes getting to old for it or that it wouldnt be used much or for long. Also you should get hi ma push toy....Cuz he will learn to pull himslef up on it... Thats all J plays with is pushing those and ride ons around. i love you and A!

We are going to buy our 6 mo old a special Christmas dress for church, a first Christmas ornament, and a Bumbo. (A Bumbo is a baby seat/stool that looks like a Sit N Spin with a back to it) I asked my mom for a Dressy Bessy doll (do they still make those?) because my baby loves playing with the buttons and zippers on my clothes, and a high chair.

Purchase a toy that your child can grow into (and yet have fun with now). I would recommend a pack of Fisher Price Roll Arounds (just the balls) and the Fisher Price My First Piggy Bank. My now 2 year old loved those when she was around that age (and she still plays with them) and my 7 month old is just starting to get into them. Also popular are toy cell phones and toy music boxes.

My daughter will be around 6 months for her first Christmas. I did not buy her much. I bought a few outfits and a few toys. I figured she will get plenty from my side and her dads side of the family. I don't plan on buying any more.

I figure my husband and I will each go buy her a small toy... fancy teething ring or rattle or whatever.... he'll wrap one without showing it to me and I'll wrap the other....so even though SHE has no idea, we'll surprise eachother...hehe.
Also, I'm planning on buying a "baby's first christmas" ornament and her own stocking to hang too.

well i am buying my baby a daddy doll because my husband is deployed however at his age there is a toy from playskool (yes its actually spelled that way) that teaches babies to walk and then they can ride on it. Any gift wrapped in shiny paper will make his day seeing as it is shiny and wont be told no about touching it
