Nobody knows. All of space is expanding into it, whatever it is. Some scientists theorize that we are part of a multi-verse, in which multiple universes exist, and gravity can be shared between the different universes, which would explain why gravity is so weak compared to other forces of energy, such as electromagnetism.
Some theorize that we live in a holographic universe (and this theory is actually not too far-fetched), in which everything we see and experience is an illusion.
There is also the theory that the universe is like pac-man, and when you go off the screen on one side, you reappear on the other side.
It's impossible for us to ever see the edge of the universe, because the sum velocity the expanding universe (and not only is it expanding, but it's expansion is accelerating) between us and the edge is greater than the speed of light.

Itself. It's hard to explain, since the universe is both infinite and expanding. It is expanding into itself through the creation of things like blackvhole, which is creating more universe in a place where there already was some!

The non-universe?

precisely. as far as all of us comprehend, the nothingness has no reduce. there's a reduce as to how far the universe has greater as a lot as THIS VERY second, yet we are no longer truly confident basically how huge it truly is. yet bear in concepts, for the universe to strengthen, that basically signifies that the galaxies have become farther and farther except for one yet another, leaving no longer something between them. no longer something isn't something, so even as the universe is all there is, that does no longer count number the nothingness previous it, which, being no longer something, can not remember as part of the "each little thing" it truly is the universe. it truly is type of a play on words, yet you're proper -- the universe IS increasing right into a countless nothingness it truly is previous the farthest limits of that "something" -- the universe-- already occupies.

Maybe they mean, that the places that they can go in the universe are expanding. Like they are finding more ways to go to more places! It's possible!

Hmm don't know....perhaps MTV can make a sh!tty reality TV show about it and get some posers ****** kids to go on a trip into deep space and get filmed while they are going. Kinda like Big Brother in space. The apes left on earth will only be concerned with who has sex with who first....not the question of what space and time are expanding into.
