Yea, I posted something about this earlier too, haven't had a chance to fully research it. Nice petition however. It really pisses me off that this kind of stuff just gets swept under our noses. Ron Paul didn't even vote against it because he's campaigning (you know he would have). Not that it would really help, only 6 other patriots out of 400 voted against it, I wonder who they were - and fire all the rest.
The wording is too vague, and this Act is undermining, and threatening, the constitutional rights of U.S. citizens to organize in dissent of the Patriot Act, NSA surveillance, telecom immunity, social injustice, the War on Terror, or any other program that the citizenry feels is in violation of their inalienable rights as U.S. citizens - ie: pro-life or pro-choice demonstrations, etc. Any group you get together, could have an agent provocateur, or imbecile in it, cause a ruckus, and blight the whole process.

The US Constitution addresses this. It gives citizens the right to PEACEFULLY petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Rioting, vandalizing, etc etc are not PEACEFUL. Besides, I am sure that domestic terrorist groups groups like ALF and ELF for example could get rolled up under the RICO statutes if the Feds really wanted to.
There are enough laws out there. Just start enforcing them. Passing another one isn't going to do anything.

Thank you for drawing my attention. I have just signed it. And I would like to remind everyone, that the same White House, which intends-as I understand-to pass this draconian law, God forbid, accuses Bielorussia of "human rights violations". I posted a question not so long ago, challenging those who accuse Bielorussia of that to give me one example of "human rights violations there. The only answer I received was a "very intelligent" one, something like: "How don't you know the well known fact, that there are so many human rights violations there?"...

Welcome to your dictatorship.
You better start raising hell with your government before it really does with you.
