i have a bad habit of keeping my true feelings bottled up. anger, pain, guilt... it's nothing. Sometimes it hurts. But I'm just too afraid to talk about all of it. How can I let go?

Write it all down. Roll the paper into a 'scroll' and tie it up with a nice ribbon. Carry it with you to the woods or beach where you can light a bonfire. When the fire is burning well, read it aloud to the wind, roll it up and tie it up and put it into the fire. Watch the scroll burn, and watch the smoke rise to the heavens. As you do that, simply say "I will not feel any of these negative feelings again. From now on, I will live a new and different life, and I will learn to be a happy person.' Stand there for awhile, and feel yourself 'letting go' of all of that negativity. You'll find that your 'fear' is gone too, so you may be able to speak normally when bad things happen again, or you may want to write them down and take them to the woods or beach and burn them, too. What you do is now totally up to you, and you can always do this 'burning off the negativity' when you feel 'closed off' and afraid of people. I have one other small bit of advice ... if YOU are a nicer person, you'll find that others will be nicer to you ... but if they aren't, then perhaps you just need to move on and forget about them. Family should be people you love, not people you are angry at, hurt by, or feel guilty towards. If you can't feel that for your 'real' family, then make a family of your own among your friends ... and BE HAPPY and feel content with that. It's the BEST any of us can hope for.

Take it to God. He is the only one to help you. If you don't have a relationship with Him, Get One! Through your prayers and trusting in Him, He will take it all away from you. He already know all about you. He is just waiting on you to come to Him. He will help you to release it all and fill your heart with nothing but love. anger, pain and guilt turns into bitterness and hatred. Don't let it go this far. Seek God. God Bless

Open up with a friend, or someone who you feel close too, and let it out. If you dont want to do that, then write it down, all of it, and keep it in a place where you can go and read it, pretend someone wrote it to you, and what you would say to them, if they needed your advice. How would you help them, and just apply it to yourself. The answers you are seeking lies within you...Get rid of the fear, fear only serves to cripple, and stop the growing process, in order to get past this, you have to apply solutions.

i can relate, u can let go by writing down your feelings into a book(start a journal) i did it and it worked for me. if this doesn't work start going places outside of your parish and build relationships with person's and tell them of your problems while listening to theirs. sometimes it's easier to talk to person's not very close to u. hope u get over your problem sooner than later.

Tell it to a stranger. Find a place you can vent. Write a blog or the old fashioned journal. Those things help as much as telling someone.

1. Start small and work your way up.
2. Put down the bottle and do not pick it up again.

Good luck.
