It depends on how bad they are. If they are only slightly turned in the doctor most likely won't do anything. My son's feet were turned in a little bit and I was concerned but his doctor said it would correct itself. He is 3 now and has no issues. If they are severely turned in they will put braces on them to force the muscles to force the feet into the correct position.

The sooner, the better, at least for a consultation with a specialist. Often times things like this can be adjusted while they're still growing rapidly-- so make sure you check with a doctor while thats still an option!

By the way the shoe idea is ridiculous. Being pigeon toed generally is caused by your whole leg or ankle turning, not your actual foot.

You can go to an orthopedic doctor and they might put braces on her legs during the night to help straighten them. You'd be surprised how easily kids this age will adjust to treatment. Most adults would pitch a fit...kids just seem to go with the flow. Check with a good doctor to see about getting it corrected. Also don't let her sit on the floor in a "W" pattern. This twists the hips...even though others will tell you it won't. Get a doctor's advice.

see a doctor, my husband was born that was as well as his sister, they had to wear special shoes and other hardware to point their toes outward. my husband's feet are normal now and when his feet are relaxed they point in a little, but he can walk with them straight.
