i should have had a shot last week, but i dont want to be on it anymore.

im not normally an emotional person, but the past few weeks ive just been crying all the time. every little thing sets me off. im under some stress... and i thought maybe that could be part of it, but could the depo/change in hormone thing be the problem? ive never had this with any other birth control when i stopped taking it.

Oh MY yes. Definitely normal. When you're pregnant, after you have the baby, all those hormones decrease and can make you really emotional (in some cases, extreme, like postpartum depression). When you're on BC, the hormones trick your body into thinking it's pregnant, and when you stop taking it, it's basically the same process. Good luck to you, you should be back to normal soon.

It could be. Give it a bit for your body to get rid of that shot.

I was on depo but went to Kariva immediately after my last shot was due and did not have those feelings.

Om my goodness you sound like me when I was on it. I could have killed someone I was that moody. I was a monster when was on that. I went off it and I went back to normal. I cant take hormone based b.c. It makes me crazy. I had a paraguard I.u.d and loved it. Maybe look into that.
