I guess I am older then most people here. Everyone that has been mentioned so far I saw for the first time in a theater. I would love to go back to 1942 and see "Casablanca".

Since I did see Star Wars & Jaws in the theatre, I'll step a little further back & say Lawrence of Arabia. Just big scenes, big locations, & big spectacle on top of a great movie. It deserves to be seen in the theatre.

Hm. I'm going to kinda cheat here. I'd like to go back and hear the original radio broadcast of "War of The Worlds" by Orson Welles.
If I HAD to choose a movie, I'd probably choose "Star Wars: A New Hope".

The original 'Star Wars' or 'Jaws'. Just to see this for the first time in a crowded theater would've been mind-blowing.

Gone with the Wind.
The first true box office hit of all time - I'd love to be in the audience for that.
