My best friend next door growing up had a much older sister that would babysit us sometimes. I forgot what she called this but it was a half of an apple with peanutbutter, cinnamon, and a slice of processed cheese. I skip the cheese now because I'm vegan (not that it necessarily had milk in it anyway but still, gross) but it was delicious!

My Mom during the winter after a fresh snowfall, would make us kids a treat she called "snow cremes". She would pack fresh snow into small bowls and drizzle vanilla flovoring, sugar, and a little nutmeg over the snow. What a treat!

When the food money was low, we had fried eggs over white rice for dinner. When times were good, we had chicken, sausage, and greens over white rice.

I love buttered egg noodles! When me and my sister were younger, my mom would boil egg noodles until they were just right and then add butter and salt. They are so delicious. I still eat them today, but they are very tricky to make.
