I am not sure if you can get access to them because you usually need a subscription. If your school subscribes to them, then you can get it via school internet access.

Nearly all academic publications are peer-reviewed. The general-audience, popular press magazines are not. That includes Discover, Popular Science, etc. If your school or public library doesn't have the ones you're looking for, try a university library. Most will let you look at resources in person but not check them out. These journals assume the reader already has a strong background in the field.
