Well it depends on what the question is that I asked. Usually I leave it open for a longer period of time as I am so busy asking questions that it takes me a little longer to resolve them. But sometimes I am hoping for somebody that I want to answer the question to answer the question.

I really don't take some of my Q&A too seriously, so I really don't go through all the drama of flagging and thumbs-up or down or responding to negative BS. I just put a question out there and let the tide take it wherever it is destined.
But I do try to read all the answers and eventually pick one and let it be. It's like learning as you go.
But, don't you love it when suddenly you get a super, unexpected response?! And when you get a really far-out answer that just blows you away and makes you laff alot or makes you think, "this person really has their S*** together!"

A lot depends on the question...sometimes I will leave it open an extra day...see if I get any nibbles...sometimes I will extend the question...but usually I will just pick a B/A and then reask the question, hoping I get different answers. I try to never let my questions go in voting.

I like to control who I give the 10 points so I wait as long as I can and if I liked the answer then I will choose it . Anyway there are usually always a couple of very good answers from theothers so I am glad and patient .

when i ask a question, I am not looking for someone to agree with me, or for a specific answer.
while many of them are not related to the question, there is always some that give insight into what or why the believe what they do, and sometimes it is the answer that doesn't fit what I want to hear that I give best to, but I always give a best, unless I forget about the question and it goes into voting without my notice.
usually it is when i have gotten so many of good answers, that I extend the question, to give others the opportunity to contribute.

I ALWAYS resolve a question whether they are the 'right' or 'wrong' answer.
When folk have taken their time to bother I feel 'tis only right to acknowledge that fact.
'Best answers' that I choose are often the ones that put their point of view across and their opinions may differ to mine completely but gives me another way of looking at it.

Yes sometimes I tend to push the expiration for that reason and to see if any of my contacts will answer.
I usually push too far because many go into voting when I do this.
OK, I AM a Space Case!

no,i usually select my best answer by the # of thumbs up after 3 days.i think its just a waste of time to extend a question and i would never let it go to public vote because the public is not the person who asked the question.

I will just pick one, I dont keep my question open longer becasuse once your question has passed the first one to two pages of questions how many really go that far to look and answer more?

i always resolve my questions, get pointsback.
why do people not close there questions? i hate that! because if the question they asked was important they wont forget to check to see if they got good advice, but then it goes to voting man that buggs
