probably not - but it seems to b the prerogative of megalomaniac psychopaths to try to- as with the current global 'elite'!!

it's possible today.. but you wouldn't like the type of government it would have to be very much (oppressive at this time)

if there is a lot of diffusion of culture and religion in the years to come.. or a greater acceptance of all of that which is "different" then a world government is possible.... but still (and I know.. getting a little si-fi and far fetched here) without some sort of outside driving force like.. say.. an invading army of aliens.. what reason would we have to come together to form a world government? Maybe mass famine? or another megalomaniac that actually gets the job done?

Well that is the goal of many different groupsand it could work it won't be peacful and if you follow the Bible at all it is supposed to be a sign of Armegedon

No. I say this, because look how far we've come since the human race has kept records. We will alway's be separated by differences. Religion, race, cultural, etc. etc..

The US already is the worlds welfare and police system. We don't need to support anyone else.

Theoretically it could happen, but it's doubtful it would. Too many people with too many problems and too many religious zealots. If it happened it wouldn't last long IMHO.
