They should have worked all that out BEFORE they got married.
If one becomes religious AFTER the marriage, and the other doesn't, then there's gonna be problems for sure, unless they are both fairly tolerant people and don't try to push each other to change.

That may cause fighting, but I doubt it has much to do with divorce. I would guess that cheating, exessive fighting, uncontrolled bad habits (gambling), and things like that have more to do with divorce.

I don't think so. If you respect each other's differences, then it can work. I think the major cause of divorce is deceit and cheating myself.
