How about UPS and FedEx?

I'm asking because I ordered a camera online yesterday [Sunday], but they didn't specify the carrier [all it said was Ground 3-5 days].
I need my package on or before Saturday.

The USPS, yes they do. So does FedEx ground, at no extra charge. Not sure about UPS ground. FedEx express and UPS express will deliver on Saturday, but both charge extra.

It's good to know the carrier, and the location of the actual shipper for on-line purchases. Sometimes you'll find that ground shipments are guaranteed overnight for your proximity to the shipper, even at the lowest fees. It may also be that FedEx doesn't but UPS does (or vice versa)... so when you have an option, it pays to do a little research.

You can't always tell... a store like Amazon has dozens of warehouse locations. Also, not for plain ground USPS, but for many shipment options, you can track your package's progress on-line. So at least you know where it is and when it's out for delivery, even if you can't control these things.
