How (where) do I get the information about the (movie) auditions in Hollywood? Do not tell me to google it, cause I've tried everything. They always tell you to pay if you want to know more.
Help.....

What you're talking about are open auditions, known in the trade as "cattle calls". They don't happen much any more because they just waste too much time. A zillion untalented people show up and the producers have to wade through them trying to find someone who really fits the part and can act. Instead, what they do is to just call up agents and tell them what they're looking for (e.g. a certain type), and the agents then look through their list of clients to see who fits that profile, and send them over to try out. That way, the people who show up are pre-screened, the producers can be confident that they are working with professionals who have at least some resemblance to what they're looking for.

In short, don't look for auditions. Look for an agent.

(But be sure to find a legitimate one. There are a lot of con-men out there. One key is that a legitimate agent never asks you for money up front. He only gets paid 10% of what you make, AFTER he finds you work. If he asks you for money front, run in the opposite direction.)

You cannot get this information for free. As with any career, you do indeed have to invest some money in what you're doing. So buy or subscribe to Backstage West.

However, films generally don't have open auditions like in theatre. Films are almost entirely cast via agent submissions to casting directors.
