I have always heard the same about Canada so I'm not sure if its true or not. My health care plan is not very good at all. I do get the option between 3 plans which is nice but the best plan cost 1/3 of your check if you have kids. So I just stick to the cheap plan & deal with a big deductable. Basically I have it in case of a serious illness other than that its worthless.

Sunny ? You should be more articulate when making statements, but you do get to the point. Universal health care is not universal. Canadian facilities are over used according to some of those who I questioned. Also, they were not covered when traveling outside the country. Don't know if this is still true.American medicine is still the best. Anyone who goes to any clinic or any hospital for any reason cannot be turned away without the facility facing potential lawsuits. In effect we do have socialized medicine Because of this, hospitals often are unable to collect for their services which causes an increased for those who do pay. As a result it is a strain on Medicare and the private plans whose cost escalation has driven many companies away from covering their employees.
