its best to let the battery drain at least once a week but keeping it plugged in is fine if you dont unplug once a week your battery will have a short life

If you leave your laptop at home all the time, then I would advise taking the battery out. Batteries only have a limited amount of charging cycles (times they can be charged) and then start losing their capacity very quickly. I would advise you not to use or charge the battery unless you're going to be needing it.

I run mine plugged in 90% of the time. BUT I let the battery run right down about once a week.

we always plug our laptop up to the charger cord whenever we need it charged...we have wifi at our house so we always carry it around with us. We plug it in when it's needed...if it gets unplugged then ok. We don't really worry with it..we have had this laptop for nearly 4 years and it's working fine.
