I "adopted" a few families to give Christmas presents to this year. They have no money and whatever I get them is all the Christmas they are going to have. I am getting each family member a stocking filled with stuff, one package with clothes in it, and one toy. Is that enough or should I do more? Any ideas?? There are a total of 11 people, maybe more to come.

I think whatever you can do is just wonderful. I wish there more people like you in the world. The only other thing I can think of is a gift card to a local Grocery store. Thank you for doing this, you will be blessed.

If you have the money, it would be nice to give each family one of those gift sets that have summer sausage, cheese, crackers, etc. That way you know they will have something to eat for Christmas.

Keep in mind that the kids probably need the gifts more than the adults. You could put together shampoos, lotions, etc, from the dollar store for the adults, leaving more money for the children. I would also suggest getting the children board games to encourage the family to play together.

You are doing a wonderful thing. Good for you!

God Bless you my dear for what you are doing. That is so very kind and thoughtful.
You have certainly gotten enough but if you could,a food voucher from a grocery store would be great.Either that,or get a turkey, stuffing mix, potatoes and some frozen or canned veggies.A pie or cake for dessert would be nice.Whatever you can afford as you're being very generous already.
Have a wonderful, happy Christmas and you'll be richly rewarded for what you are doing. Not to mention how good your heart will feel.

That sounds fine, but maybe one suggestion? Something special for Christmas Dinner? Whether a bird or a ham or something, as that can be the most expensive part of the meal. But you'd have to let them know it was coming so that they don't double up. Thanks so much for caring enough to make thier Christmas so much brighter.
