My dogs used to pull loaves of bread off the counter and shred the plastic and eat the whole loaf. Make sure they are not able to reach the food otherwise it's as good as gone.

make more. one of mine is very sneaky that way. she used to put her paws up on the counter and eat the cube of butter off the butter dish, it took me a while to figure out where the butter was going. she LOVES pumpkin pie! no dessert for yours tonight!

If you're the dog, go crap on their new carpet or bed and make them really mad. That will ensure a trip to the animal shelter.
